ISO
14064 is a set of standards proposed for use as a guide for consistent
reporting of an organization's GHG emissions and removals, making inventories,
GHG emission reduction or removal remediation projects, and verification and
validation of GHG notifications. It is an equalization protocol. Issued by the
International Standards Organization, it aims to voluntarily reduce greenhouse
gases and has a neutral policy.
The basic principles of ISO 14064 are as follows:
Selection
of GHG sources, GHG sinks, GHG reservoirs, data and methodologies appropriate
to the needs of the target user
- Completeness
It
includes all relevant greenhouse gas emissions and removals.
- Consistency
Systematic
errors and uncertainties are reduced as much as possible.

Transparency
Adequate
and appropriate information on GHG is disclosed to enable intended users to
make decisions with confidence.
