VİLDAN GÜNDOĞDU Mrs. Gündoğdu graduated from DEU Environmental Engineering in 1984 and completed her master's degree in "Environmental Technologies" at the same university in 1991, and completed her PhD in ‘Establishing a Management Plan in Water Basins’ in 2003 at E.U. She started her professional career in 1985 as an inspection staff in the Food and Environmental Control Branch of the İzmir Provincial Health Directorate. Between 1990-95, she worked as "Governor's Technical Advisor" on environmental issues at the İzmir Governorship R&D Board. She served as an İzmir Provincial Environment and Forestry Director between 1995-2004. Member of the Board of Directors of İzmir Province Environmental Protection Foundation; Between the years 2005-2009, she worked as consultant of the Metropolitan Municipality İZSU General Manager. Simultaneously between 2005-2010, she worked as an Associate Professor in the E.U Faculty of Fisheries. Meanwhile she taught lectures on EIA and Planning, Ecology, Ecological Monitoring and Control, Strategic EIA and Planning, 14001 Environmental Management Systems and had undergraduate and master's theses done on similar subjects. She has many scientific publications and researches in the fields of Environmental Management, Management of Water Basins, EIA, Eco-efficiency and Environmental Pollution and Control. Between 2010-2012, she was the Head of the İzmir Branch of the Chamber of Environmental Engineering. She is also the external expert of TUV-Nord on Integrated Management System. She received Lead Auditor training on 9001; 14001 and made many audits. She has basic training and carbon-energy expertise training on 14064 and 50001. In 2010, she founded Gündoğdu Environmental Eng. and Consultancy firm. She still provides consultancy to many Industrial facilities and Municipalities on Environmental Management systems, Eco-efficiency, Sustainable Environment and Renewable Energy Strategies, Carbon and energy consultancy, Environmental legislation and Environmental permits. She is also Turkish National Committee for Air Pollution and Researches Board of Directors Member, EBSO Environmental Committee member and Rotary Regional Water Management President. She is married and has two children.
